Split in Toronto

Well, the yankees lost the first game in the Rogers Centre 10-5, mostly because Randy Johnson pitched poorly, missing his location a lot. It looked like the yankees would have a good shot at winning, because after only 1 out, they scored 4 runs including back to back home runs by Arod and Giambi (only 1 pitch apart). However, they gave up too many runs and lost it. Today Mike Mussina had a very good performance, pitching 7 1/3 innings, giving up only 1 run, 7 hits, giving no walks, and getting 7 strikeouts. Kyle Farnsworth took over for 2 outs and Mariano Rivera got his 2nd save of the year in the 9th. New York is now 7-7 in the standings. Tomorrow is an off day, then the yankees are heading back to Yankee Stadium for a 9 game homestand. They will face the orioles first on Friday night at 7:05. Now maybe they can get a winning streak started and catch up in the AL east. It's still very early in the season, but it's not too early to start winning more games.
