New Developments

I know it's been a while since my last post, but I was busy watching each game and put off posting unitl after each series, so now I'll write that the yankees won their first game against the a's, then lost 4 straight, won the last game in Anaheim, and now they won their 9th consecutive season opener 9-7 against the royals. That's a lot to write about, so I won't mention everything that happened, but it looked like the yankees weren't going to do good this year after losing 4 straight, but now they've won 2 in a row. Today, New York was on top 3-0 early, bu Wang gave back the runs, then the royals took the lead. Kansas City was up 7-5 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th, and Derek Jeter came up to bat with 2 runners on. At that point he hit a 3 run homer to give the yanks a 9-7 lead. Mariano Rivera gave up 1 hit, hit a batter, and struck out 1 to earn his first save of the year, his 380th overall. Tomorrow, the yankees face the royals again at 1:05 ET. Shawn Chacon will face Jeremy Affeldt. The game will be broadcast on YES and ESPN. Hopefully we can get a 3 game winning streak even our standings at 4-4.
