Yankees Win 5 in a Row

It has been kind of a while since I've posted, so here's another update. The yankees lost in boston 7-3, the 2nd game of that series was rained out, and then the yankees won the next 5 games, sweeping the devil rays in 2 and the rangers in 3. This is a season high win streak, and the yankees' 1st back to back sweeps this year. With the last win, Joe Torre has won his 1,000th game as a yankee manager, putting him in an elite class with Miller Huggins, Joe Mccarthy, and Casey Stengel. New York's record is currently 18-11, and we remain tied with the red sox in 1st place. Tuesday through Wednesday is a 3 game series with against the boston red sox that will begin a 10 game homestand. The starting pitchers are: Johnson vs. Beckett, Mussina vs. Schilling, and Chacon vs. Wakefield. I think that we have a chance to at least take 2 games, because many of our hitters are hot right now, especially the middle of the order, and Johnson pitched very well against boston last year. Mussina is also off to a great start this year, and Chacon is doing pretty well. Go Yankees!
