Yanks Win 2/3 in Boston, Defeat Royals 15-4

The yankees have improved their record to 27-20. They are just 2 games back in the division, despite all the injuries so far this season. After losing 2 of 3 to the mets, they beat the red sox back to back to win the recent series in fenway park 2 games to 1. They then lost 7-5 to the royals at home, ending their 13 game losing streak, and today defeated them in a blowout 15-4. Gary Sheffield has returned to the lineup a few days ago, but has yet to really start hitting again. However, Melky Cabrera, who was called up from triple A a few weeks ago to replace Sheffield, has continued to be great. Perhaps he will stay on as a permanent part of this team. It looks like Carl Pavano will miss about half the season, and hopefully Octavio Dotel will start pitching soon. Tomorrow Jaret Wright will start to close out this series, and then New York will gon a the road for 7 games, playing the tigers in 4 games, and then the orioles for 3 games.
