Arod Hits Walkoff Home Run, Yankees Beat Mets in Opener

In the last game in the series vs. the braves, the yankees were down 3-2 in the bottom of the 12th with 1 out and a runner on 1st. Alex Rodriguez was at bat, and finally came through with a clutch walkoff home run to lead the yankees to a 4-3 victory and a 2-1 series win. Tonight, the yankees won their 2nd straight by beating the mets 2-0 and giving up only 1 hit. Also, the red sox lost to the marlins 5-2 to snap their 12 game winning streak. With a yankees win and red sox loss, new york is now 3 games behind boston in the al east.
