Yankees win 3 straight against Boston

The yankees have won the first 3 games so far in fenway park. We now lead the AL east by 4.5 games, a season high. We're also a season high 25 games over .500. In the first 3 games, new york scored a combined 39 runs off of red sox pitching. Friday night's game was the longest 9 inning game in major league history at about 4 hours, 45 minutes. Tonight, Mike Mussina will take the mound against Curt Schilling as the yankees look to win their 4th straight game over the red sox.

Another interesting note is that we've won 7 of the last 8 games vs. boston. We also lead the season series 8-5. With a little over a month left in the season, the yankees hope to defend their division lead as they go after their 9th straight AL east title.

Everything is looking good right now. I hope we can keep this up. September should be really easy for us. We just need to get through August, hopefully with our lead intact.
