Regular season over, Yankees will play Detroit in ALDS

The 162 game 2006 regular season is finally over. The yankees finished with a record of 97-65, tying with the mets for the best record in baseball. Today, we lost to the blue jays 7-5, the twins won their game over the white sox, and the tigers were swept by the royal which means we will play the detroit tigers in the division series. This is very good news, because we match up much better against them then the twins.

If it wasn't for 2 blown saves by Proctor and Farnsworth, then we would have won all 7 games against them this year. Also, Randy Johnson is in good shape and he'll pitch in game 3 on friday. The startes for the series are: Chien Ming Wang in game 1, Mike Mussina in game 2, Randy Johnson in game 3, and Jaret Wright in game 4 (if necessary), and if needed, Wang will pitch again in game 5.

I'm ready for the playoffs and hoping for a 27th world championship this year. I'll try to post much more frequently during the postseason. Go Yankees!!!!
